What happens after my website is launched? Do you offer post-project support or retainers?

After launch, PixelKraft remains available to assist you. We don’t disappear when the site goes live! Here’s how post-project support works:

  • Free Support Window: Immediately after launch, we provide a complimentary support window (often ~2 weeks) where we closely monitor the site and promptly fix any launch-related issues. If you find any bugs, broken links, or minor adjustments needed, we handle those at no extra cost during this period. This is to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Ongoing Maintenance Plans: We offer ongoing maintenance plans (monthly retainers) for clients who want continuous support. As discussed earlier, our Managed Hosting packages double as maintenance plans – they include monthly support hours for updates and changes. If you prefer to host elsewhere, we can set up a custom support retainer. For example, you could retain us for a certain number of hours per month to do content updates, add new features, or consult on improvements. Retainer clients get priority scheduling and discounted hourly rates.
  • Ad-hoc Support: Even without a maintenance contract, you can always come back to us for help. We charge an hourly rate or flat fee for tasks as needed. Many of our clients reach out whenever they have a new update or question – we’re happy to help on a case-by-case basis. We’ll be upfront about the estimated time/cost for any request.
  • Training & Handover: Post-launch, we can schedule a training session to empower you to manage your site. We’ll show you how to update text, swap images, post blog articles, etc. We believe in client empowerment – even though we offer to do it for you, it’s good that you have the ability to handle basic tasks if you want. We’ll also give tips on best practices (for example, how to resize images for web, how to maintain SEO when adding content).
  • Performance Monitoring: If you have ongoing SEO or marketing with us, post-launch is when that kicks in. We’ll monitor your site’s performance (speed, uptime) and your marketing metrics (traffic, conversions) and provide reports if part of our engagement. For pure web design clients, we usually at least ensure Google Analytics is collecting data, so you have insights moving forward.
  • Retainer Benefits: Clients on a monthly retainer or maintenance plan often also receive proactive updates. For instance, we might apply security patches or suggest improvements (like “It’s been 6 months, we recommend updating your WordPress to the latest version and here’s why…”). We basically act as your ongoing web department. We can also combine services in a retainer – e.g., a certain number of hours that can be used for anything from design changes to consulting to digital marketing efforts each month.
  • Scaling Up: If your business grows or your needs change (say you want to add an e-commerce section later, or a custom web app), we can seamlessly transition into that next project phase. Since we built the site, we know it inside out and can extend it efficiently. We love forming long-term partnerships where we continually help enhance your digital presence.

In summary, after launch you have options: manage the site yourself with us in the background for emergencies, or keep us actively involved through a support plan. We highly recommend at least some form of maintenance because websites are not “set it and forget it” – they require occasional updates (content or software) and we’re here to take care of that for you. Many clients find value in a small monthly retainer to keep their site fresh and secure. But it’s your call – we’re as hands-on or hands-off as you need post-launch.
